2022 Camino Albarino

$38.00

As many of you are aware, Guy flew to Portugal after Harvest in 2021 and walked over 170 miles for 2 weeks across Portugal and Spain, crossing through 5 different wine regions and tasting local food and wines as he went. He particularly became connected to Albarino, a fabulous white wine with alluring aromatics, fruits and minerals and a mouthwatering crispness.

When Guy got home to Sonoma County, he visited with a friend, Marimar Torres, a grower and winery owner in the Russian River Valley and found she grows Albarino grapes in her vineyard "Don Miguel", named after her father. He described his recent journey and she graciously agreed to share her 2022 Albarino Harvest grapes with us.

This was a true "Family Davis" effort as both Cooper and Guy gave these grapes particular tender-loving care, with a 3 month long fermentation at very low temps. Today is the official release of this outstanding white wine that we have dubbed "Camino". Made from 100% organically and biodynamically farmed Albarino grapes, of which the cuttings came from the Torres Family’s mother block in Spain.
